Chalmers is a friendly and informal church on the south side of central Edinburgh. Whether you’re looking for a church or just looking into what Christians believe, you are very welcome. Sunday services are the heart of Chalmers. You’ll meet people of all ages and many nationalities. Services begin with a warm welcome and an invitation to celebrate the good news about Jesus Christ. We believe that what the Bible says about Jesus is life-changing for the world today. He is such good news that we’d love the opportunity to tell you about him. If you are totally new to church and have all kinds of questions, you won’t be alone. We aim to be a church where people can ask their questions and share their doubts. We meet to hear God’s Word, to praise him in song and to encourage one another. Whether you’re already a Christian or you’re just investigating, we hope you’ll find these times both welcoming and helpful. Services are at 9.30am (with children’s groups), 11.30am (followed by lunch for undergraduate students) and 6.30pm. During the week, there is a baby and toddler group on a Tuesday morning, a fortnightly Thursday afternoon group with refreshments and a Bible talk, youth groups on a Wednesday and Friday evening and regular courses for people to explore the Christian faith. All are welcome to come along on Sundays or to our midweek activities.
