Courses for Christians

Many of us want to grow in our evangelism and are keen to find what help is out there to train us and others.

It can be hard to work out what a training course is like before investing time and money in going through it yourself. So we asked nine experienced evangelists and local church leaders for their ‘go to’ recommendations (and why these are their top picks). Every course has strengths and weaknesses, but these were our most recommended.

Our reviewers said...

“Doesn’t assume people have been Christians for a long time so is a great discipleship tool for new Christians as well. Highly practical, with lots of exercises to do in pairs and a session where you do walk-up evangelism in real life (or online if needed). Uses Bible content in the sessions but teaching is light on the need and practicalities of how to bring people to God’s Word in personal evangelism.”

Just start Talking

Colin Buchanan

theme

‘Introducing Jesus into your conversation.’ Australian course aiming to give Christians the confidence and skills to talk about Jesus.

“Helpful and engaging for people who want to share their faith but are struggling to know how to.”

Our reviewers said...

“Really great at envisioning folks for being ambassadors for Christ where God has placed them.”

“Though broader, it does have a focus on witnessing in the workplace.”

Empowered

Rebecca Manley Pippert with Dick Molenhouse

‘Equipping everyone for relational evangelism.’ Helping Christians not only want to share their faith but also know how to.

Discussion cards

Our reviewers said...

“A very practical set of cards that prompt discussion about the steps people could take with their friends and colleagues to help them draw closer to Jesus. A lot of the examples are workplace-related so probably particularly good for that audience.”

Sample church description

All Saints Littletown is a warm, friendly church made up of all ages and nationalities. We are ordinary people who have discovered the difference it makes to have a relationship with God through his Son, Jesus.

We meet twice on Sundays at 11am and 7pm for about an hour to worship God and learn from his Word, the Bible. Refreshments follow the morning service.

During the week, we run a variety of activities, including a toddler group, children’s groups, and a coffee morning for seniors.  We also offer regular sessions for those exploring the Christian faith—providing space to learn about Jesus and ask questions.

Whether you’re exploring, seeking community, or simply curious—you’re warmly welcome here!

Churches that sign up to join the mission will enjoy unlimited downloads of all the training videos.

There will also be a limited access subscription for churches and individuals that want access to the videos without full access to all the LIFE ‘26 mission resources.
