The visual imagery and wording that together constitute the campaign identity have been designed by our friends at Something More Creative to be eye-catching; arouse interest; and be up front that the LIFE ‘26 mission is all about inviting people to find life in Jesus. Visually the adverts playfully arouse interest with images of everyday objects with something essential missing, such as a tennis racquet with no strings or a road sign with no words. The big question asked in the headline engages with the growing awareness in the culture that something is missing.
Anecdotally we were hearing rumours of more and more people showing up at churches all across the UK with the same statement: “I feel like something’s missing.” This was seemingly confirmed in the Bible Society’s 2025 report “The Quiet Revival”. Increasing church attendance, especially amongst the young, is a solid indicator of a growing spiritual hunger and openness and renewed interest in Jesus.
For the Finding Jesus research published by the Evangelical Alliance, adults who had recently become Christians were interviewed about their journey to faith in Jesus. The vast majority said they felt some kind of dissatisfaction with their life before they started to explore Christian faith. They described this using language such as “emptiness”, “something missing” and “a hole I couldn’t fill”.
The Apostle Peter describes first century Christians as being redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to them by their forefathers (1 Peter 1:18). That is exactly what has been handed down to this current generation: an empty way of life. A life without God and without Christ. The result is a growing crisis of meaning and identity, to which scientific materialism and expressive individualism can provide no satisfying answers. The hollow philosophies of this world can give no meaning or purpose for our existence; no hope; no forgiveness; no peace; no basis for community; no love; no truth concerning the most important questions; ultimately no life because they leave us cut off from the God who created us and dead in our sins. Only Jesus offers fullness of life (John 10:10).
Some in our communities might merely be haunted by a vague sense that something is missing; others are much more aware of that emptiness and they are searching for answers. Raising the question, ‘Ever feel like something’s missing?’ connects with both sorts of people.
The wording of the first line of the strapline that follows the headline question can be modified to focus attention on different things that people might sense are missing: peace; hope; forgiveness; community; identity; truth; even God. For each advert you want to create, you can select the word you want to use that captures an aspect of life in Jesus. The second line of the strapline is the invitation and call to find life in Jesus. For example:
The advertising templates created to fit with the campaign identity for the mission will be fully customisable so that you can add the details of your church and/or events.
Personal stories are compelling and make the abstract real and relatable. The advertising materials will include adaptable templates for inviting people to come and hear one person’s story. This could be the story of someone in your church or a guest you have invited to come and share their story.
All Saints Littletown is a warm, friendly church made up of all ages and nationalities. We are ordinary people who have discovered the difference it makes to have a relationship with God through his Son, Jesus.
We meet twice on Sundays at 11am and 7pm for about an hour to worship God and learn from his Word, the Bible. Refreshments follow the morning service.
During the week, we run a variety of activities, including a toddler group, children’s groups, and a coffee morning for seniors. We also offer regular sessions for those exploring the Christian faith—providing space to learn about Jesus and ask questions.
Whether you’re exploring, seeking community, or simply curious—you’re warmly welcome here!
There will also be a limited access subscription for churches and individuals that want access to the videos without full access to all the LIFE ‘26 mission resources.
